Free reportFlorida Uncontested Divorce: What to Expect
Ready for a fresh start? When you and your spouse agree, a Florida divorce can be calm, simple and affordable.
There is hope, and a simpler path
Many Florida couples who agree on the big things finish their divorce without a courtroom battle. Florida has official, court-approved family law forms for exactly this, and we help you get them completed neatly and on time.
Two common paths
A Simplified Dissolution of Marriage is for couples who agree on everything and have no minor or dependent children together and none on the way. A regular uncontested divorce uses the Florida Supreme Court Approved Family Law Forms and can include children, a parenting plan and a settlement agreement you have both agreed to.
A few general facts
At least one spouse must have lived in Florida for 6 months before filing. Florida generally waits at least 20 days after filing before a final judgment can be entered. The court clerk charges a filing fee, so check the current amount with your county clerk.
How we help
You tell us your facts, we complete your court-approved forms clearly and correctly typed, and we can notarize what needs notarizing. Most clients handle everything by phone, text and email.
There’s hope in what you’re trying to do, and we’d love to help.
