Questions people in Okeechobee ask
- How much does it cost to have USCIS forms typed in Okeechobee?
- Our typing fees run from $35 to $995 for the Family Green Card Form Package. The citizenship form (N-400) is $375. USCIS fees are separate and paid by you directly to USCIS.
- Can you tell me which immigration form I need?
- No. Only an attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative can advise you on forms or eligibility. You choose the form and give us your answers in writing; we type them exactly.
- Is a notary public the same as a lawyer?
- No. In the U.S. a notary public is not a lawyer and cannot give immigration advice. Jonathan is a Florida notary public and nonlawyer document preparer.
- Do I have to meet in person?
- No. You can send your written answers and documents through the intake form. Most Okeechobee clients never need to drive to Vero.
- What if I have court history, arrests or a past denial?
- We do not evaluate cases. We strongly recommend that you talk to an immigration attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative before filing any USCIS form, especially if you have ever been in immigration court, been arrested or charged with a crime, had a denial or status problem, or are seeking asylum or a waiver. We will not type forms for anyone who tells us they are unsure which form to file. Legal help: Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach, Immigration Legal Services, or the DOJ roster at justice.gov/eoir.
We are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice. We are not a law firm, not a DOJ-recognized organization, and not a DOJ-accredited representative. We are not immigration consultants, and we are not a “notario.” Jonathan Rexford is a Florida notary public and nonlawyer document preparer. He may only type or fill in forms with information you provide and cannot tell you which forms to use or how to complete them (Rule 10-2.2, Rules Regulating The Florida Bar).
Nonlawyer Disclosure (Rule 10-2.2, Rules Regulating The Florida Bar)
Jonathan Rexford told me that he is a nonlawyer and may not give legal advice, cannot tell me what my rights or remedies are, cannot tell me how to testify in court, and cannot represent me in court.
Rule 10-2.1(h) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar defines a paralegal as a person who works under the supervision of a member of The Florida Bar, an out-of-state lawyer engaged in the authorized practice of law in Florida, or a foreign lawyer engaged in the authorized practice of law in Florida and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which the supervising lawyer is responsible. Only persons who meet the definition may call themselves paralegals. Jonathan Rexford informed me that he is not a paralegal as defined by the rule and cannot call himself a paralegal.
Jonathan Rexford told me that he may only type the factual information provided by me in writing into the blanks on the form. Except for typing, Jonathan Rexford may not tell me what to put in the form and may not complete the form for me. However, if using a form approved by the Supreme Court of Florida, Jonathan Rexford may ask me factual questions to fill in the blanks on the form and may also tell me how to file the form.
